One of the primary goals of this project is to integrate Zcash's zero-knowledge proof technology, specifically zk-SNARKs, into the Solana landscape. This allows for shielded transactions where the details of a trade or transfer can remain confidential even while utilizing Solana's high-speed infrastructure. A key component of this integration is the Zashi wallet, which supports shielded Zcash purchases and private cross-chain swaps. Through a feature called CrossPay, users can spend their shielded ZEC while the recipient receives their preferred cryptocurrency on a different supported chain. In terms of utility, this bridged token is integrated with major Solana-based decentralized exchanges such as Raydium, Meteora, and Orca. This allows ZEC holders to participate in liquidity pools and other decentralized finance activities on Solana. The project represents a collaboration between the Zcash community, the NEAR Protocol, and various Solana ecosystem participants to enhance interoperability and provide global access to privacy-preserving financial tools.
