Its native token, SPA, is a utility and governance token that fuels the ecosystem. Holders can stake SPA to receive veSPA, granting them voting power in protocol governance, staking rewards, and a share of protocol revenue.
USDs (SperaxUSD) is a fully backed, auto-yielding stablecoin built on Arbitrum. It aims to combine the benefits of collateralized debt position (CDP) stablecoins with the scalability of fiat-backed stablecoins. USDs holders automatically earn yield directly in their wallets without needing to stake or claim rewards, and these distributions are gas-free. The stablecoin is 100% backed by a diversified basket of whitelisted stablecoins like USDC, DAI, FRAX, and VST.
The SPA token has several use cases: Governance, where staking SPA for veSPA allows participation in protocol decisions; Staking Rewards, where stakers earn from USDs yields and protocol fees; Protocol Value Accrual, reflecting the network's value; and Agent Activation, where SPA can be staked to activate autonomous agents within the Sperax ecosystem.
The maximum supply of Sperax (SPA) is 5 billion tokens. The project incorporates a buyback mechanism where a portion of USDs yield and protocol fees are used to buy SPA tokens from the market. Some of the bought-back SPA is distributed to veSPA holders, while the rest is burned, creating deflationary pressure.
The auto-yield for USDs holders is generated by deploying the collateral backing USDs into various audited DeFi projects. The yield, in the form of reward tokens and swapping fees, is then shared between USDs holders and SPA stakers. 50% of this yield is used to mint new USDs and distribute it to USDs holders. The target yield rate is 11% APY, with any additional yield stored to stabilize the APY during market downturns.
