Sonic AI addresses the need for a high-performance, scalable Layer-1 blockchain to revolutionize how developers and users engage with decentralized technology. It aims to offer a robust platform for finance, gaming, and enterprise sectors, capable of processing more transactions than many leading blockchains combined, thereby overcoming current limitations in speed and efficiency. This provides a foundational infrastructure for next-generation decentralized applications.

Sonic's architecture comprises three core components: the Sonic Gateway for network access, the Sonic Database for data management, and the Sonic Virtual Machine for execution. It operates as an EVM-compatible Layer-1 blockchain, achieving approximately 400,000 transactions per second (TPS) with instant 1-block finality. Its EVM compatibility ensures adherence to established security standards and audit practices, making it a secure and highly scalable platform.

The S token is the native utility token, used for transaction fees, running validators, staking, and governance. At launch, its total supply mirrors that of Fantom's FTM. An additional 190.5 million S tokens are allocated for an airdrop to incentivize users. While there will be no inflation for the first six months post-launch, new S tokens will be minted afterward for ecosystem growth and validator rewards. Burn mechanisms are also in place to strategically manage the overall supply and mitigate inflation.

Sonic AI targets widespread adoption through various initiatives. It focuses on finance, gaming, and enterprise sectors, offering a high-performance environment. A significant adoption strategy is the Fee Monetization program, which rewards developers with up to 90% of their application's generated fees. An Innovator Fund also provides substantial S tokens to support new projects. Furthermore, its EVM compatibility ensures integration with existing ecosystems, complemented by strategic partnerships with industry leaders like Chainlink, Pyth, and Dune.

Sonic AI has its origins deeply rooted in the Fantom network. As part of this transition, the existing FTM token will officially become the S token. This process allows for a seamless upgrade on a 1:1 basis, meaning that current holders of FTM tokens will have the ability to convert their tokens directly into S tokens. This mechanism ensures continuity and provides a clear path for Fantom community members to participate in the new Sonic ecosystem.

Sonic AI actively incentivizes developers with programs designed to foster ecosystem growth. Key among these is the Fee Monetization program, which rewards developers with a substantial share—up to 90%—of the fees generated by their applications. Additionally, an Innovator Fund offers significant S tokens to support new projects and innovation. For compatibility, Sonic is fully EVM compatible, enabling developers to deploy applications built for other EVM chains without requiring code changes, and it supports popular languages like Solidity and Vyper, simplifying migration and development.
