Public Mint is a unique blockchain infrastructure designed to bridge the gap between traditional fiat currencies and the digital asset space. Unlike traditional blockchains that rely on volatile native tokens for transaction fees, Public Mint uses tokenized fiat—specifically synthetic USD—as its native currency. This allows users to interact with the blockchain using the same units of value they use in daily life, while maintaining 1:1 backing for all funds on the network.

The project was established by a team of industry veterans with significant experience in technology and finance. The co-founders include Halsey Minor, a technology entrepreneur known for founding major digital platforms; Jorge Pereira, the Chief Technology Officer; and Paulo Rodrigues, the Chief Executive Officer. Their combined expertise drives the platform's vision of integrating traditional banking with decentralized technology.

MINT serves as the core utility and governance token for the Public Mint ecosystem, particularly within its EARN program. While users can access the platform without holding the token, MINT holders can stake their assets to participate in governance, voting on how funds are allocated within yield-bearing strategies. In return for participating, stakers receive a portion of the platform’s generated fees as a performance bonus. Holding MINT also enables users to unlock higher EARN levels and additional rewards.

The EARN program allows users to deposit USD or USDC to generate yield through various diversified finance strategies. When funds are deposited, they are allocated across selected providers to capture returns from overcollateralized lending. Participants receive USD+, a liquid earnings-bearing token that represents their stake in the EARN pool. As interest is generated, the balance of USD+ in the user's wallet increases daily, reflecting the accumulated returns.

Public Mint prioritizes security and regulatory compliance by ensuring all fiat funds are held by regulated and insured custodial partners at a strictly maintained 1:1 ratio. Because the platform acts as a bridge between the traditional banking system and the blockchain, users must complete a Know Your Customer (KYC) verification process. This ensures compliance with global financial regulations for activities such as ACH transfers or wire deposits and withdrawals.

MINT is an ERC-20 token operating on the Ethereum network. It can be acquired through leading digital asset platforms such as LBank.
