Hyperbridge is a Polkadot-based cryptographic coprocessor designed for secure, ZK-verified communication between blockchains. Unlike traditional bridges that rely on off-chain multisig committees, Hyperbridge utilizes Zero-Knowledge (ZK) proofs and Polkadot’s shared security to verify cross-chain messages on-chain. It functions as a secure infrastructure layer, often described as an "undersea cable" for blockchains, making cross-chain connections invisible yet highly secure.

$BRIDGE serves as the native fuel for the Hyperbridge network. Its core functions include paying transaction fees for cross-chain messages and storage queries, rewarding relayers who transmit data between chains, and facilitating network security and staking. Additionally, the token is used for decentralized governance. The protocol features a fixed supply of 1 billion tokens and does not mint new tokens for security, as it inherits its security model from Polkadot.

The Hyperbridge mainnet and Gateway Token Bridge are already live. The TGE and distribution for Initial Relayer Offering (IRO) participants were targeted for early 2025. While community members discuss roadmap stages on platforms like LBank, it is essential to follow official channels for the most accurate listing updates and distribution schedules following the conclusion of early-stage points campaigns.

As of early 2025, Hyperbridge provides native support for several major ecosystems. This includes EVM-compatible chains such as Ethereum, BNB Smart Chain, Base, Optimism, Arbitrum, and Gnosis. It also supports Polkadot parachains, Bifrost, and zkVerify. The project’s roadmap for 2025 includes plans to integrate Solana and MoveVM-based chains to further expand its interoperability network.

Hyperbridge is developed by Polytope Labs, led by founders Seun Lanlege and David Salami. Lanlege is a veteran of Parity Technologies and Composable Finance. The team is well-regarded in the Polkadot and Substrate communities, notably recognized for implementing the first trustless IBC bridge connecting the Polkadot and Cosmos ecosystems. Their work is focused on high-security infrastructure and peer-reviewed cryptographic implementations.

The IRO was the project's primary public funding method, offering bonuses to early participants before concluding in February 2025. Hyperbridge has also engaged in reward programs like the DeFi Singularity campaign. Users should be careful not to confuse the current BRIDGE project with a legacy 2018 project named Hyperbridge (HBX). Official rewards are typically managed through verified ecosystem partnerships and the project’s own mainnet governance.
