Dawn (DAWN) is a utility token built on the Solana blockchain, powering the Decentralized Autonomous Wireless Network (DePIN). It's an internet protocol leveraging blockchain to foster a more democratic internet. DAWN aims to democratize internet ownership, moving it from large ISPs to individuals. Its core mission is to provide affordable, reliable internet access while rewarding users who contribute their bandwidth and expand network coverage.

The DAWN Airdrop is a rewards program designed to incentivize community participation in building the DAWN ecosystem. Users can earn points by installing a browser extension, creating an account, and running the extension. Additional points can be gained through engagement on social media platforms like X, Discord, and Telegram, as well as by referring new users. These accumulated points are anticipated to be converted into $DAWN tokens at a later, unannounced date.

DAWN tokens serve multiple functions within the ecosystem. They can be used for payment and subscriptions, such as obtaining VIP access to competition services via staking, accessing exclusive content or tournaments, and as one-off buy-ins for events and prize payouts. Furthermore, DAWN tokens grant holders governance rights, enabling them to influence network development. They also act as an incentive mechanism, rewarding users for sharing bandwidth and validating network activities, ensuring a robust and decentralized internet.

Currently, DAWN is in a "pre-token" phase where users accumulate points rather than actual tokens. It is not yet listed on any exchanges, nor is it tradable. The specific dates for the token snapshot, official distribution, and subsequent launch or listing on exchanges are still pending and have not been publicly announced. The project's funding details are also not publicly disclosed at this stage.

The DAWN project explicitly states it will never ask users for money or private keys, which are key indicators of fraudulent activity. The airdrop mechanism involves accumulating points through a Chrome extension. The DAWN token has a fixed total supply of 1 billion units. Its allocation is structured to support various aspects of the ecosystem. The community, specifically node operators, is allocated 25%. The treasury, team, and investors each receive 20% of the total supply. Third-party service providers involved in validation are allocated 7%, while ecosystem partners receive 3%. The remaining 5% is designated for other stakeholders, ensuring a broad distribution across the project's contributors and participants.
