It operates on a Collateralized Debt Position (CDP) model, similar to other established decentralized stablecoin protocols. The token was created to provide users with liquidity while their underlying collateral continues to earn staking rewards.
As of late 2024, the Davos Protocol is no longer under active development or maintenance. The official project channels have issued a maintenance status update, signaling that the protocol is being sunsetted. Because the development team will no longer resolve frontend issues or technical bugs, users are strongly encouraged to withdraw their assets and close their positions immediately while the interface remains functional.
To retrieve assets, users must visit the official protocol dashboard and connect their digital wallets. Since the protocol is in maintenance mode, users should navigate to the repayment section to return their outstanding DUSD debt, which will unlock their deposited liquid staking collateral. Although the project has ceased active development and is transitioning into a sunset phase, it is viewed as a discontinued DeFi project rather than a malicious scheme.
