Yel.Finance is a DeFi research and development laboratory that focuses on creating innovative yield-generating products. Unlike traditional aggregators that often rely on inflationary token emissions to attract liquidity, Yel.Finance utilizes a 'Smart Yield' approach. This model generates returns through its proprietary 'Potions' product and arbitrage strategies, capturing value from market volatility and price discrepancies. By prioritizing real-yield mechanisms over token printing, the protocol aims to provide a more sustainable and long-term ecosystem for its participants.

Potions are the flagship product of Yel.Finance, designed for 'volatility farming.' Users wrap their assets into a Potion, which functions as a liquidity pool that earns fees from traders speculating on price swings. Instead of relying solely on transaction volume, Potions capture value from market movements. This effectively turns market volatility into a yield source for providers. The fees generated from these activities contribute to the protocol's revenue, which is then used to reward the community through the real-yield model.

lYEL, or Liquid YEL, is the staked version of the YEL token. Yel.Finance has transitioned to a zero-emission model, meaning no new YEL tokens are created as rewards. Instead, the protocol generates 'real yield' from its products. When users stake their YEL for lYEL, they become eligible for a share of the protocol's revenue. This income is funded by market buy-backs using fees from Potions and arbitrage products, allowing stakers to earn rewards that are backed by actual economic activity rather than inflation.

Yel.Finance has moved its core operations to the Sonic network, formerly known as Fantom, to take advantage of its high-speed infrastructure and low gas fees. This migration allows the protocol to offer more efficient 'Potions' and arbitrage products. To participate, users can bridge their assets to the Sonic chain, where the protocol's primary liquidity is now concentrated. Traders can access YEL on the Sonic network through major platforms like LBank and other leading decentralized exchanges, ensuring a seamless and cost-effective experience for the community.

Yel.Finance has transitioned to a sustainable, zero-emission model, meaning no new tokens are minted. To support value, the protocol uses a Buy-back & Burn mechanism where a percentage of fees from 'Potions' and arbitrage products is used to buy YEL from the market. These tokens are either permanently removed from circulation or distributed to stakers. Regarding security, the protocol’s smart contracts have been audited by Solidity Finance. This provides users with confidence that the code governing their assets is transparent and has undergone rigorous third-party inspection.

As part of its future roadmap, Yel.Finance is introducing 'Semi-Automatic User Arbitrage,' a feature that allows retail users to participate in professional-grade arbitrage opportunities without needing technical expertise. Additionally, the protocol is developing Arbitrage Bot staking, where YEL holders can stake their tokens directly into automated trading algorithms.
