xCREDI is the exclusive governance and advanced utility token of the Credefi ecosystem. While CREDI is used for basic platform activities like lending, borrowing, and collateral, xCREDI is a deflationary token designed for long-term holders. It captures platform value through revenue sharing and provides governance rights, allowing users to participate in the protocol's strategic direction.
Module X serves as a critical security layer that protects the platform against potential borrower defaults. Users participate by depositing CREDI into this module. This process burns the CREDI to mint xCREDI via a bonding curve. This mechanism secures the protocol's stability while providing users with xCREDI, which carries additional benefits and value within the Credefi ecosystem.
Users can acquire xCREDI through two main channels. First, they can convert CREDI by depositing it into the Credefi Security Module (Module X), where the original tokens are burned to mint xCREDI. Alternatively, xCREDI can be purchased directly on supporting exchanges such as LBank or various decentralized trading platforms on the Ethereum and Binance Smart Chain networks.
Stakers receive a Perpetual Revenue Share consisting of 10% of monthly platform revenue. Rewards are calculated using 'xPoints,' which represent staking power. Your share is determined by the amount of xCREDI staked, a lock duration multiplier ranging from 1x to 6x for 360-day locks, and specific Tier Multipliers based on your total xPoints.
Holding and staking xCREDI unlocks several Tier Benefits, including governance voting rights on protocol upgrades. Users can also access yield boosts of up to 2% extra interest on lending, significant reductions in transaction and bank transfer fees, and priority reimbursement through investment insurance in the event of a borrower default.
When a user chooses to unstake their xCREDI, the platform enforces a 21-day unlocking period. During this three-week timeframe, the tokens are in a cooling-off state where they do not earn rewards, do not count toward governance votes, and do not contribute to tier-based utility benefits until the period is complete.
