WELD (Weld Money) is an innovative fintech project established in 2020 by Alexey Meretskiy, Alexey Bobok, and Iryna Lorens. The Weld card is notable for its pioneering role as one of the first cryptocurrency cards linkable to multiple exchanges, particularly in Eastern Europe.

The Weld card operates through an innovative technical process. When a user makes a payment via Google or Apple Pay, the partner bank initially issues a fiat transaction, essentially as a temporary, interest-free overdraft. Concurrently, Weld's system instantly transfers the equivalent amount in cryptocurrency from the user's balance to Weld's corporate account on the respective exchange. This architecture eliminates the need for users to pre-load their card with fiat currency and significantly reduces blockchain transaction fees by leveraging free intra-exchange transfers for the crypto conversion.

The WELD token serves multiple purposes within the Weld ecosystem, offering various benefits to its holders. Investors can leverage WELD tokens to enjoy reduced processing fees and gain increased spending limits on their Weld cards, enhancing their transactional capabilities.
