Wasder (WAS) is a Web3 project centered around a social community platform designed for gamers. The company, a Swedish entity, initially launched its platform in 2017. The token reward ecosystem was introduced on May 7th, 2021. The platform aims to provide a comprehensive solution for gamers, allowing them to connect with others, host communities, interact with streamers, and engage in party chats. The Wasder platform offers various features to enhance the gaming experience, including tools for discovering new games and content, earning in-game items, establishing player identity, and enabling virtual self-expression. It has been in open beta since 2020 and onboarded over 100,000 new users during its first year. The platform transitioned its primary product from a web platform to a mobile application, available on both iOS and Android, to better serve its user base. Key functionalities such as matchmaking and party chats, along with Web3 features, were introduced as the mobile application expanded. The WAS token plays a role within the Wasder ecosystem. It is designed to fuel the in-app ecosystem and reward players for completing various tasks. The token's integration brought in elements like NFTs, virtual events, and tournaments to the platform. Users can connect their Web3 wallets directly to the application. Planned uses for the WAS token include a staking mechanism with VIP perks for participants, enabling purchases of exclusive NFT collections, and a burn policy utilizing liquidity pool fees from asset trading. Wasder seeks to simplify how players interact with their favorite games and how game developers reach new users. The project has forged partnerships, including one with Ultra, a Web3 gaming platform, to make Web3 gaming more accessible. Wasder was acquired by Spielworks in late 2023, and its WAS token is expected to become available within Spielworks' ecosystem, including the Wombat app and NFT marketplace Atomic Hub. Learn more
