The THINK Protocol is a decentralized framework designed for Non-Fungible Intelligence (NFI). It enables the creation of AI-native agents that users can truly own, personalize, and evolve. Unlike standard AI, these "THINK Agents" function as on-chain assets that retain their unique identity, memory, and logic across diverse Web3 environments and applications. The protocol aims to build an open ecosystem where intelligent digital entities can operate autonomously while remaining under user control.

The THINK Protocol represents the evolution and rebranding of the Altered State Machine (ASTO) ecosystem. This transition involves a migration where the ASTO token is swapped for the THINK token at a fixed ratio of approximately 1 ASTO to 0.28943 THINK. While the swap is handled automatically for users on major exchanges like LBank, self-custody holders must use the official THINK Claim Portal to migrate their assets. This rebranding aligns the project’s identity with its broader mission of decentralized AI agent interoperability.

THINK Agents, or Non-Fungible Intelligence (NFIs), are the fundamental units of the protocol. They are on-chain assets that combine identity, logic, and memory. This structure allows an AI agent to "remember" past interactions and accumulate knowledge, enabling it to grow more sophisticated over time. Because these traits are recorded on the blockchain, the agent’s intelligence is portable, meaning it can maintain its learned behaviors and personality across different games, virtual worlds, and digital platforms within the Web3 ecosystem.

The THINK TANK is the protocol's native staking platform and "Value Engine." By staking THINK tokens, users can unlock various benefits, including reward multipliers and a share of the value generated by ecosystem partners. Most tokens are "pre-staked" at the Token Generation Event to encourage long-term participation. While users generally have the flexibility to unstake at any time, doing so may reset their accumulated reward multipliers, incentivizing sustained support for the protocol's decentralized infrastructure and growth.

The THINK token serves several critical functions within the ecosystem. It is the primary currency for minting new agents and upgrading their skills or modules. Additionally, it is used to pay for the decentralized compute and storage resources required for agents to function and process data. Users can deploy their agents across various tools and games, such as those in the FutureVerse, or utilize them as personal AI assistants. Agents can also be monetized by providing specialized services to other users or digital entities.

The Independent AI Institute is a collaborative governance body comprised of over 80 diverse projects, including FutureVerse. Its primary objective is to develop and maintain the THINK Agent Standard. This standard is crucial for ensuring that AI agents remain interoperable across different platforms and decentralized applications. By fostering cooperation among industry leaders, the Institute works to ensure that the logic and memory of NFIs are recognized and functional across the entire Web3 landscape, preventing ecosystem fragmentation.
