Money streaming, often referred to as a Constant Flow Agreement, allows a user to set up a perpetual flow of tokens at a specific rate per second. This stream continues until the sender cancels it or runs out of funds. Distribution pools allow a single sender to distribute funds to a large group of recipients simultaneously. This is particularly useful for scalable one-to-many transfers like rewards or dividends, where the cost of the transaction remains the same regardless of the number of recipients. Common use cases for Superfluid include automated payroll and salary payments, where employees receive their earnings in real-time as they work. It is also used for subscriptions, where users pay only for the exact amount of time they use a service, and for token vesting, where project contributors receive their tokens gradually over time. Decentralized Autonomous Organizations (DAOs) and other Web3 businesses use the protocol for treasury management and community incentives. The native token for the project is identified by the ticker SUP. Its primary functions include protocol governance and providing incentives for the ecosystem. Holders of the token can participate in decision-making processes regarding technical upgrades, fee structures, and the allocation of resources. The project operates across multiple blockchain environments, including Ethereum and various scaling solutions such as Polygon, Optimism, Arbitrum, and Base.
