Suilama is a community-driven decentralized application (dApp) built on the Sui Layer 1 blockchain. It effectively merges meme culture—specifically llama-themed branding—with decentralized finance (DeFi) utility. Often described as the "Shiba Inu of Sui," the project aims to foster adoption of the Sui network through high community engagement and humor. While it is a significant part of the ecosystem, it is important to note that Suilama is a dApp rather than an independent blockchain network.

SUILAMA is available for trading on major platforms such as LBank, alongside various decentralized exchanges within the Sui ecosystem. To manage and trade the token, users need a compatible Sui network wallet, such as the LBank Wallet or the official Sui Wallet. If trading on decentralized platforms, users often need to adjust their slippage settings to between 0.5% and 1% to ensure transactions are successful during periods of high volatility.

Staking in the Stability Pool provides a variable APY that fluctuates based on protocol liquidation events and token emissions. Rewards are not automatically compounded; users are required to manually claim their rewards and redeposit them if they wish to increase their staked position. Generally, there is no mandatory lock-up period for SUILAMA in the Stability Pool, though withdrawals might be momentarily restricted if a liquidation event is actively occurring within the protocol.

SUILAMA is the standard, liquid token used for trading and transactions. In contrast, veSuilama (vote-escrowed Suilama) is a non-transferable token generated when a user locks their SUILAMA. This locked version represents the user's voting power in the protocol. Holders of veSuilama can participate in governance by voting on "gauges," which are mechanisms used to direct future token emissions to specific pools within the ecosystem.

Suilama operates with a total supply of 10 billion tokens and utilizes a zero-tax model, meaning no fees are charged on buys or sells. To ensure community safety, the project has undergone security audits, and the contract ownership has been renounced. Additionally, Liquidity Provider (LP) tokens are burnt to prevent "rug pulls." While these measures enhance security, the project team reminds users that "Meme-Fi" tokens still carry inherent smart contract and economic risks.

The primary risk for participants in the Stability Pool is liquidation risk. In this system, staked SUILAMA may be used to cover under-collateralized positions within the protocol. While users receive the liquidated collateral in return—often at a discounted price—this process can lead to a reduction in their total SUILAMA balance. Users must weigh the benefit of receiving discounted assets against the potential decrease in their staked token amount.
