The gameplay revolves around a diverse roster of heroes and a wide variety of weapons and skins. Players can participate in several different game modes such as Battle Royale, Classic Deathmatch, Gem Battle, and a player-versus-environment mode called Zombie Crisis. The game supports both solo and team-based play, allowing users to form squads or join clans to compete for rewards. One of the project's main goals is to bridge the gap between traditional gaming and blockchain technology. Additionally, the project includes a tool called The Metacube, which allows users to create their own gameplay content in the form of non-fungible tokens. The ecosystem utilizes a dual-token model to balance gameplay and governance. The SQUAD token serves as the primary governance token, granting holders the ability to participate in the project's decentralized autonomous organization and influence the future development of the game ecology. It is also used for specific high-level functions like weapon upgrades. A secondary in-game token, often referred to as ECG, is used for regular game activities, rewards, and standard item improvements. Superpower Squad is designed as a free-to-play title, meaning players can start the game without any initial purchase. While the core experience is accessible to everyone, owning hero or weapon NFTs provides additional benefits, such as unique character attributes and the ability to earn enhanced rewards through gameplay.
