SpartaDEX is a gamified decentralized exchange (DEX) on the Arbitrum network that merges real-time strategy gaming with decentralized finance. Users develop an ancient Greek settlement called a Polis to enhance their cryptocurrency staking yields. Unlike traditional platforms, it uses gaming progress, such as building levels and resource management, to determine the rewards a user receives, making the DeFi experience interactive and engaging.

The Troy Event was a major milestone in August 2024 that transitioned the protocol to SPARTA 3.0. During this event, over 60% of the total supply was burned to eliminate inflation and align the circulating supply with the total valuation. This effectively shifted SPARTA to a deflationary model, reducing the maximum supply from 100 million to approximately 39.75 million tokens.

Yields from liquidity provider staking are gamified, meaning a user's reward multiplier is directly tied to their Senate level within the game. Higher-level buildings and better resource management result in higher yield multipliers. Progress is stored in a Polis NFT, allowing users to pause liquidity provision and retain their achievements, or even trade their developed settlement on secondary NFT marketplaces.

Gems are the premium in-game currency used to accelerate construction, recruit units, and acquire resources. They are purchased using SPARTA tokens, which creates a vital token sink. By requiring SPARTA for these essential in-game upgrades, the protocol maintains deflationary pressure, as the tokens used for Gem purchases are removed from circulation to balance the ecosystem.

Stakers of SPARTA earn "Real Yield," which consists of a share of the protocol's actual revenue generated from swap fees, withdrawal commissions, and in-game microtransactions. Additionally, the platform offers "Dual Rewards" for specific whitelisted pools, where users can earn both SPARTA and partner project tokens. A leaderboard system also rewards active players based on their in-game performance and contributions.

While liquidity for standard pools can be withdrawn, staking SPARTA tokens involves a 110-day cooldown period to promote long-term stability. If a user chooses to withdraw their tokens before this period concludes, they are subject to an early withdrawal fee that can be as high as 50%. This mechanism, along with the saved progress in Polis NFTs, encourages sustainable participation within the gamified ecosystem.
