Definder Network was originally known as Smartlands (SLT). The project underwent a rebranding to better align with its focus on Web3 and the tokenization of real-world assets (RWA), such as real estate. This transition included a token swap from SLT to DNT. The shift represents the project’s evolution from a niche crowdfunding platform to a broader ecosystem for decentralized asset management and investment.

The DNT token serves as the primary utility asset for the Definder Network. It is used to pay fees for asset tokenization, provides access to the platform's crowdloan features, and enables decentralized governance. Holders can vote on which real estate projects are listed on the platform. DNT also plays a crucial role in staking rewards and has a maximum supply of 21,548,097 tokens on the BNB Smart Chain.

Users can participate in staking via two main methods: providing liquidity on supported exchanges like LBank or decentralized platforms, and "Safe Staking," which involves holding tokens in a private wallet. To qualify for specific reward pools, a minimum requirement of 200 USDT is typically required. Rewards are determined by a multiplier system, where longer lock-up periods or larger amounts of staked DNT grant users a bigger share of the rewards.

DFIND is a new token launched as part of Definder's platform expansion. DNT is not being replaced; rather, it acts as the "legacy" or "parent" utility token. Holding DNT grants users special access and boosters within the newer DFIND ecosystem. The project has also linked DFIND allocations and potential airdrops to DNT holdings and platform activity, ensuring that long-term DNT supporters benefit from the platform's growth and the introduction of new assets.

Definder prioritizes security by having its smart contracts audited by professional third-party firms. The project also utilizes multi-signature wallets for fund management to prevent single points of failure. Following leadership changes, such as the appointment of a new CEO in 2024, the team has focused on transparency by providing regular updates. Information regarding audits and the background of the management team is made available to the community to build trust.

Investing in tokenized real estate requires users to undergo an onboarding process, including KYC (Know Your Customer) verification. The minimum investment is usually 100 EUR or USDT. Once registered, users can browse listed projects on the decentralized application (DApp). It is important to note that access may be restricted in certain regions, such as the USA, due to local regulatory compliance requirements. If tokens do not appear in a digital wallet, users may need to manually import the DNT contract address.
