Script Network, also known as Script TV, is a decentralized streaming platform built on its own Layer-1 Script Blockchain. It aims to revolutionize the streaming industry by offering decentralized bandwidth, content sharing, and a "watch-to-earn" economy. Within this dual-token system, SCPT functions as the governance token, while SPAY serves as the core operational token for the Script.TV blockchain, facilitating various activities and powering its economic functions.

The SPAY token is integral to Script Network, functioning as both "gas" and a reward mechanism. Users earn SPAY through the ScriptGLASS watch-to-earn system and utilize it for all blockchain transactions, including payments for video streams, smart contract interactions, and NFT fees. SPAY is essential for upgrading ScriptGLASS NFTs, purchasing associated items, and covering ecosystem fees for media transcoding, decentralized storage, and integrating Script Network's video player into other websites. It also facilitates large-scale file transfers and analytics subscriptions.

SPAY has a total supply of 5 billion tokens. Unlike SCPT, it is an inflationary token, with an annual supply increase of 7-9% starting from the second year. To counteract potential devaluation from this inflation, the protocol implements a burning mechanism: approximately 25% of each transaction fee is burned at the protocol level. Additionally, SPAY tokens are burned when users mint ScriptGLASS NFTs, helping to balance the token's price and volume and maintain its economic stability.

Users can acquire SPAY through several methods. Active participation in the Script Network ecosystem, particularly through the ScriptGLASS watch-to-earn mechanism, allows users to earn tokens directly. Script Network also confirmed an airdrop of 7.5% of the initial SPAY supply to the community, with eligibility gained by signing up, interacting with the platform, creating a wallet, staking, transferring tokens, or completing tasks on designated platforms. Furthermore, SPAY will be available for purchase on centralized exchanges (CEXs) once it officially launches.

Script Network plans a significant token merger, combining its two tokens, SCPT and SPAY, into a new single utility and governance coin named SF. This migration is a key component of "Phase 1: Migration & Mainnet Launch" on their roadmap, coinciding with the launch of the Script Chain mainnet. Following the merger, node rewards will be distributed in SF. Existing SPAY tokens will be migratable to SF via an official portal, reinforcing the project's commitment to its underlying blockchain technology.

Script Network addresses scalability challenges inherent in blockchain technology for a streaming platform by utilizing its own dedicated Layer-1 Script Blockchain. This blockchain employs a multi-BFT (Byzantine Fault Tolerance) consensus design. It incorporates both Validator Nodes, responsible for network security and transaction validation, and Lightning Nodes, which are specifically designed and optimized to efficiently relay video and data across the network. This architecture is engineered to handle the high transaction volumes and data throughput required for a decentralized streaming service.
