Sanctum is a DeFi protocol built on Solana designed to address the illiquidity of staked SOL. Traditional staking locks assets, making them inaccessible for other DeFi activities. Sanctum solves this by allowing users to stake their SOL while maintaining liquidity through Liquid Staking Tokens (LSTs), thereby making their staked assets available for broader DeFi participation and improving capital efficiency on Solana.

Sanctum operates by allowing users to deposit SOL or existing LSTs into its "Infinity Pool." Users receive `saSOL` tokens, representing their share of the pool. The Infinity Pool is a multi-LST liquidity pool that unifies fragmented liquidity from various LSTs on Solana, enabling efficient, low-slippage swaps between them. It also employs a dynamic fee structure to maintain liquidity balance and offers a reserve for instant unstaking, enhancing overall flexibility.

Liquid Staking Tokens (LSTs) are tokens that represent staked SOL, allowing users to earn staking rewards while their assets remain liquid and usable across the Solana DeFi ecosystem. Sanctum facilitates the creation of custom LSTs and acts as a router for seamless swapping between different LSTs, even lesser-known ones, with minimal slippage. It essentially provides a unified liquidity layer for Solana LSTs, improving their interoperability and utility.

The $CLOUD token is Sanctum's governance token. Holders of $CLOUD can participate in decision-making processes for the Sanctum protocol, including voting on prospective partners. Additionally, prospective partners seeking "Sanctum Verified Partner" status are required to stake $CLOUD tokens. This mechanism aligns incentives and ensures commitment from entities looking to integrate deeply with the Sanctum ecosystem.

Users can engage with Sanctum by connecting their Solana wallet, then depositing SOL or LSTs into the Infinity Pool to receive `saSOL` tokens. To potentially qualify for future $CLOUD token airdrops, users can participate in Sanctum's "Wonderland" rewards program. This program involves collecting and leveling up "pets" by holding eligible LSTs, which accumulates EXP points, positioning participants for potential token distributions based on their activity.

Sanctum distinguishes itself through its unified liquidity approach, consolidating various LSTs into a single "Infinity Pool."
