A Financial NFT, or FNFT, is an ERC-1155 token that functions as a programmable "smart vault." Unlike standard digital collectibles, an FNFT contains underlying ERC-20 assets that are securely locked within the token. These assets are only released when specific, pre-defined conditions are met. These conditions can be triggered by time durations, specific asset value milestones, or external contract-based events, allowing for complex financial logic to be embedded directly into the NFT.

Traditional vesting typically locks tokens to a specific wallet address, making the assets completely illiquid until the vesting period ends. Revest transforms this process by locking assets into an FNFT. Since the FNFT is a tradable asset, the owner can sell or transfer the entire vesting position on secondary marketplaces. This provides the holder with an immediate liquidity option without forcing the sale of the underlying tokens on the open market, thereby protecting the asset's price stability.

The RVST token serves three main purposes within the protocol. First, it is used for revenue sharing, as protocol fees generated by Revest and its associated products are distributed to token stakers. Second, holding RVST provides users with fee discounts when minting new FNFTs. Finally, RVST is a governance token, granting stakers the ability to vote on protocol upgrades, strategic proposals, and the future development roadmap of the ecosystem.

Revest employs a time-weighted multiplier system to reward long-term stakers. Users can choose to stake RVST for periods ranging from 1 to 12 months, with longer durations providing a higher weight in the reward distribution pool. Upon staking, users receive a Staked-FNFT (S-FNFT). This token represents the specific staking position and accrued rewards. Because the position is wrapped in an NFT, it remains liquid, allowing users to sell or transfer their staked commitment to others before the unlock date.

Resonate is a flagship product built on top of the Revest protocol that facilitates the exchange of future yield. It allows users to lock yield-bearing assets into the protocol to receive an upfront payment in liquid assets. In this arrangement, a purchaser provides the immediate payout in exchange for the rights to the future interest generated by the locked assets. This creates a secondary market for yield, giving users access to upfront capital while offering purchasers a way to acquire future earnings.

Revest has expanded its technology to include Real World Assets by allowing tokenized versions of off-chain assets, such as Treasury bills, to be wrapped into FNFTs. This integration enables more efficient management of RWA yields and simplifies the transfer of ownership. By using FNFTs for RWAs, institutional and individual users can apply programmable locking conditions and automated distribution logic to traditional financial instruments, bridging the gap between DeFi and conventional finance.
