There are two main types: Yield DTFs, which diversify across yield strategies and are protected by RSR stakers, and Index DTFs, which manage diversified token portfolios and charge minting and TVL fees.
Reserve stablecoins and RTokens are backed by a basket of cryptocurrencies managed by smart contracts, providing robust, on-chain collateral. The RSR token is vital for stability, especially for the Reserve stablecoin (RSV), through arbitrage opportunities. If a collateral asset in a Yield DTF loses value, staked RSR can be "slashed" to cover the losses, ensuring the DTF's peg remains intact and maintaining its promised value.
RSR stands out due to its integral role within a unique dual-token stablecoin system. This system is meticulously designed to maintain 100% or more on-chain collateral backing for its stable assets.
