The RED Token is the native utility token of the RedStone network, a modular blockchain oracle. It is designed to provide real-time, cost-efficient, and reliable data feeds to decentralized applications (dApps) across various blockchain networks, including EVM and non-EVM chains. It acts as the "fuel" and security mechanism for the entire RedStone platform, underpinning its operations and data delivery.

The RED Token serves multiple crucial functions within the RedStone ecosystem. It is primarily used for staking by data providers and token holders to enhance network security and reliability, often integrating with EigenLayer's Actively Validated Services (AVS). This incentivizes high-quality data. RED token holders also gain voting rights for community governance, influencing platform development. Furthermore, a portion of tokens is allocated for ecosystem growth, and dApps use RED for oracle service payments.

RedStone stands out with its modular oracle architecture, offering flexible, customized data feeds. It uses an "on-demand" or "pull-based" model, storing data off-chain and retrieving it only when smart contracts require it, significantly reducing gas costs and improving scalability. It boasts cross-chain compatibility, supporting numerous networks like Ethereum and Solana. Crucially, RedStone integrates with EigenLayer AVS to enhance security and ensure data accuracy.

The maximum supply of RED is capped at 1 billion tokens. An initial float, typically around 28-30%, is available at launch, with the remaining 70-72% being gradually unlocked over a four-year vesting schedule. This structure aims to ensure market stability and long-term alignment. The token distribution categories include allocations for Community & Genesis, Protocol Development, Core Contributors, a launchpool, Ecosystem & Data providers, and Early Backers.

The RED Token can be acquired through various platforms. It is listed on several major centralized exchanges, with some offering pre-market trading. Additionally, users can purchase RED through decentralized exchanges (DEXs). This typically involves connecting a compatible cryptocurrency wallet, such as MetaMask, and swapping a base currency for RED tokens on the chosen DEX platform.

RedStone's roadmap focuses on enhancing scalability, security, and cross-chain interoperability. Key future developments include the Actively Validated Services (AVS) Mainnet Launch, expansion into Real-World Asset (RWA) data, and upgrades to its oracle standards for perpetual markets.
