Primex Finance is a non-custodial prime brokerage protocol designed to bridge the gap between decentralized finance and institutional-grade trading tools. Unlike traditional centralized systems, the protocol does not rely on a central limit order book. Instead, it uses a decentralized network of community-hosted nodes called Keepers to execute trades and liquidations, ensuring transparency and reducing the risk of manipulation. The protocol enables users to engage in multi-chain leveraged trading on Ethereum Virtual Machine compatible blockchains such as Polygon, Arbitrum, and Ethereum. By integrating with multiple decentralized exchanges, it allows traders to open and close positions using various liquidity pools. Lenders provide assets to credit buckets, which are smart-contract-based pools with specific risk parameters. In return, lenders earn yields from the fees generated by traders who borrow these funds to amplify their trading positions. The PMX token serves as the native utility and governance token for the ecosystem. Its primary roles include facilitating protocol governance, where holders can participate in decision-making processes regarding the platform's development. Additionally, PMX is used to incentivize key participants. For instance, Keepers receive rewards in the token for performing essential tasks like order execution and liquidations. Traders who hold or use the token can benefit from discounted protocol fees. The token is also used for liquidity mining programs to encourage early participation and ensure sufficient depth in the credit buckets. Other utilities include paying listing fees for introducing new trading pairs or credit buckets and staking to gain access to exclusive features. Some of these features include specialized markets for real-world assets or advanced cross-margin portfolios that utilize artificial intelligence for rebalancing and yield optimization. Primex Finance also introduces concepts like decentralized identity and scoring. It aims to offer a decentralized alternative to traditional compliance requirements, allowing for under-collateralized borrowing based on a trader's performance history and risk profile. By providing advanced tools like conditional orders and custom slippage tolerance, the project seeks to offer a user experience similar to centralized platforms while maintaining the security and self-custody advantages of decentralized technology.
