Plant vs Undead is a Web3-based multiplayer tower defense and farming simulation game. Inspired by classic defense titles, it challenges players to use NFT-based plants to protect a Mother Tree from waves of undead enemies. The ecosystem integrates blockchain technology, allowing players to truly own their in-game assets. While the game offers basic non-NFT plants for beginners, players typically use PVU tokens to acquire specialized NFT seeds to participate in high-level farming and defense activities.

To start playing, you must connect a compatible Web3 wallet to the Binance Smart Chain. Players need a small amount of BNB to cover network gas fees and must acquire PVU tokens, which are available on LBank, to purchase initial farming tools or NFT plants. Once the wallet is connected and the necessary tokens are secured, players can access the game interface to begin managing their farm or defending their territory against the undead.

The game operates on a dual-token system. PVU is the primary governance and ecosystem token used for purchasing NFTs on the marketplace and interacting with the broader project economy. LE, or Light Energy, serves as the internal utility currency. Players earn LE through active gameplay, such as watering plants, harvesting crops, and fending off crows in Farm Mode. LE can be converted back into PVU tokens at specific exchange rates, facilitating the movement of in-game earnings to the market.

PVU tokens are primarily traded on digital asset exchanges. You can acquire PVU on LBank, where it is paired with other major cryptocurrencies. After purchasing the tokens, they should be transferred to a private Web3 wallet on the Binance Smart Chain for use in the game's marketplace. Regarding tokenomics, the total supply of PVU is capped at 300 million tokens, with a vast majority of that supply already in circulation.

Players can engage in two main reward-earning modes. Farm Mode focuses on simulation, where players water plants and harvest LE. This mode also includes the World Tree, a community quest where players collaborate for group rewards. The second is the PvE/Survival Mode, a tower defense challenge where players strategically position NFT plants to defeat waves of monsters. Additionally, the Sapling system allows players to collect Sunflower Saplings to eventually exchange them for permanent NFT seeds.

The project is currently in a mature phase often referred to as Legacy mode. While the servers and NFT marketplace remain active, the project focuses on maintenance rather than rapid new development. The term Legacy refers to the original farming and tower defense model, whereas Origins represents a later attempt to update mechanics on different blockchain networks. Players should be aware that while the game remains functional, it is viewed as a legacy Web3 project with established mechanics and a long-standing community history.
