PEPEGOLD (PEG) is a gold-pegged stablecoin project bridging traditional assets with blockchain finance. Launched in August 2025 by a UAE-based team, it's a BEP-20 token on the BNB Smart Chain, with plans for Ethereum and multichain support. Each token represents 1 gram of physical gold stored in audited vaults, offering a transparent, verifiable way to hold and transact real-world gold digitally.

The 1:1 peg (1 PEG = 1 gram of physical gold) is maintained through a collateral model where every minted token is backed by one gram of physical gold. This backing is verified via on-chain proof-of-reserves and independent third-party audit reports. The gold is held in regulated vaults, and both the gold reserve quantity and the total PEG token supply are verifiable in real-time on the blockchain.

PEPEGOLD (PEG) offers diverse uses. It serves as a digital alternative to physical gold for value preservation in volatile markets. It facilitates international payments by reducing friction and costs. PEG can integrate with decentralized finance (DeFi) protocols for lending, borrowing, or yield farming. Financial institutions can hold it as a transparent reserve asset. Additionally, it can function as base collateral for issuing fiat-pegged stablecoins.

The initial stated supply of PEPEGOLD is 100,000,000 PEG tokens. The total supply may expand as the mainnet launches and integrates with physical gold reserves, reflecting actual gold-backed collateral. However, the initial on-chain token limit is 100 million units to ensure full transparency and matching with reserves. A significant portion (60%) is allocated to gold-backed reserves, issued upon gold deposit to maintain the 1:1 peg.

PEPEGOLD was launched by a UAE-based team in August 2025. The PEPEGOLD Token is issued and managed by the Pepe Gold Foundation. The project prioritizes institutional-grade compliance, adhering to AML/KYC standards and engaging with local regulatory bodies in the UAE, including cooperation with the DFSA for necessary approvals.

While PEPEGOLD (PEG) aims for listings on major exchanges, current information suggests it is not widely available on listed tracking platforms. Some sources indicate it can be acquired through decentralized exchanges (DEXs) using compatible Web3 wallets, though not directly on all central exchange platforms. It may also be purchased via P2P (Peer to Peer) from holders. The project has officially submitted its application for listing on major crypto data aggregation sites.
