To participate in the Nyzo cycle as an active verifier, you must run a node that enters a competitive queue. Unlike staking models, entry is strictly throttled to maintain network diversity. Due to the "8-hour spacing" rule, which allows only one new verifier to join roughly every eight hours, the process is gradual. Depending on the number of nodes waiting, it can take months or even years of consistent operation before your node is voted into the active cycle to begin producing blocks.

Proof-of-Diversity is a unique consensus mechanism where nodes take turns minting blocks in a predefined, circular "cycle." It eliminates the need for power-intensive mining or large capital staking. The network is secured by a "time barrier"; because joining the cycle takes months, an attacker cannot simply buy their way into control. They would have to wait a significant amount of time to insert enough nodes to influence the network, a slow-moving process that the existing community would easily detect.

Nyzo is engineered to be exceptionally lightweight, making it one of the most accessible blockchain projects to support. A standard Virtual Private Server (VPS) with just 1 CPU and 2GB of RAM is sufficient for participation. This low hardware requirement allows the software to run on modest devices like a Raspberry Pi, ensuring that the network remains decentralized and is not restricted to users with expensive, high-end computing equipment.

A Micronyzo is the smallest unit of the Nyzo currency, equivalent to one-millionth (1/1,000,000th) of a Nyzo. This system allows for granular transactions, similar to Satoshis in the Bitcoin ecosystem. The total supply of the network is capped at 100,000,000 NYZO. Rather than relying on traditional block rewards, verifiers earn transaction fees, and a dedicated "Cycle Fund" exists to support community-voted initiatives and ongoing development.

Nyzo was founded by anonymous developers who chose to stay unidentified to ensure the project followed a decentralized, "Satoshi-style" launch. While the original creators have stepped back to encourage organic growth, the project is far from dead. The code is entirely open-source, and the network is maintained and governed by the active community of cycle members. Governance is facilitated through the Nyzo Cycle Fund (NCFP), where members submit proposals for network improvements and marketing.

Nyzo can be traded on digital asset platforms like LBank and other specialized exchanges. Because Nyzo uses a unique architecture, it is not compatible with standard Web3 wallets like MetaMask. Instead, it utilizes its own address format and "Nyzo strings" for private keys. Users must use Nyzo-specific wallet software to manage their funds. It is vital to securely back up these private keys, as they do not follow the common BIP-39 recovery phrase standard used by many other blockchains.
