zk-capsules are zero-knowledge encrypted containers that serve as a core feature of the NONOS architecture. They allow users to securely store and move their state—including files, identities, and active sessions—between different hardware environments. Because they use zero-knowledge proofs, the data remains encrypted and is never exposed to the underlying machine's hardware, ensuring complete data sovereignty and mobility without compromising privacy.

The Onion Mesh is a native networking layer integrated directly into the ZeroState OS kernel. Unlike a standard VPN that operates at the application level, the Onion Mesh functions similarly to a decentralized anonymity network, hiding the user's IP address and physical location at the protocol level. This native integration ensures that all outgoing and incoming traffic is obfuscated by default, providing built-in privacy for all system communications.

The $NOX token is an Ethereum-based asset (ERC-20) that powers the NONOS ecosystem. Its utility includes participation in DAO governance, paying for specialized zk-auth services, and providing incentives for nodes operating within the Onion Mesh network. A 2% transaction fee is applied to maintain the ecosystem: 40% is burned for deflation, 30% supports liquidity, 20% goes to the DAO treasury, and 10% supports the development fund.
