nsASTR is a yield-bearing liquid staking token (LST) received when users stake ASTR on the Neemo Finance protocol. Unlike rebase tokens where the quantity in your wallet increases, nsASTR increases in value relative to ASTR over time as it accrues staking rewards. This model allows users to maintain liquidity for use in DeFi while their underlying assets earn rewards.
The protocol typically targets an APR of approximately 20%. This yield is achieved by optimizing for dApp Staking v3 mechanics, which include base staking rewards plus bonus rewards for participating in specific voting and building periods. Additionally, users can earn weekly loyalty payouts by holding specific protocol NFTs and meeting minimum staking requirements.
