Mdex operates a repurchase and burn program funded by a portion of the platform's daily transaction fees. A smart contract automatically executes the repurchase of MDX tokens when a predefined repurchase price, calculated as a 72-hour average MDX price, is triggered. Once repurchased, these tokens are then permanently burned, removing them from circulation. If the trigger price is not met, the funds accumulate in the repurchase pool for future execution. This deflationary mechanism aims to enhance the scarcity and potential market value of MDX.
