The Leverj DEX officially retired its main exchange operations on April 13, 2024. While the underlying Gluon Layer 2 technology remains on-chain, the exchange interface and active trading services have been discontinued. The project is currently in a retired status and is no longer functioning as a high-speed derivatives exchange.
Users with remaining assets on the Gluon sidechain must use the "Outstanding Gluon Claims" portal provided by the project. You must connect the Ethereum-compatible wallet used on the exchange to initiate the withdrawal process, which moves your balances back to the Ethereum mainnet. If the sidechain ever stops producing blocks, a technical "Freeze" mechanism in the smart contract can be activated to allow for safe asset recovery.
LEV was the project's original token launched in 2017. In late 2020, it underwent a 1:1 migration to the L2 token, also known as $LTWO. This migration was necessary because the original LEV contract was non-standard and lacked compatibility with modern decentralized finance protocols and popular trading platforms.
Historically, the L2 token was used for governance and staking to earn a portion of trading fees. However, following the retirement of the exchange, the token no longer serves a functional utility within an active ecosystem. It is no longer tracked by major data aggregators and is not used for active platform operations.
