Kamino (KMNO) is a Solana-based DeFi protocol that automates lending, borrowing, and liquidity solutions. It simplifies DeFi by automating complex strategies like liquidity provision and leveraged yield farming. Kamino is also expanding to bridge traditional finance (TradFi) and decentralized finance (DeFi), enabling institutions to borrow against real-world assets (RWAs) and offering retail users passive yield opportunities through vaults.

The KMNO token serves as the native utility and governance token for the Kamino Finance ecosystem. Its primary uses include: Governance, allowing holders to vote on protocol upgrades and direction. Staking Rewards, which can boost incentives and provide "loyalty boosts" influencing future airdrop allocations. Ecosystem Incentives, rewarding users for providing liquidity or interacting with the platform. Future plans may also include Access and Discounts, offering fee reductions or exclusive features.

Kamino unifies lending, liquidity, and leverage into a single DeFi product suite. Its main features include: Automated Liquidity Vaults, which allow users to provide liquidity with automated rebalancing and auto-compounding, generating yield-bearing kTokens. Kamino Lend (K-Lend), a lending and borrowing protocol where users can supply assets to earn interest or borrow against collateral, featuring "Elevation Mode" (eMode) for higher Loan-to-Value (LTV) ratios with correlated assets.

The KMNO token has a fixed total supply of 10,000,000,000 (10 billion) tokens. The distribution strategy prioritizes community growth and long-term alignment, with a substantial portion (approximately 35%) allocated for community initiatives, future airdrops, and grants. The tokenomics also consider factors such as circulating supply and allocations to the core team and initial investors, ensuring a balanced and sustainable ecosystem.

If users did not receive KMNO through the initial airdrop, tokens can be purchased on major cryptocurrency exchanges. Users can also typically source KMNO liquidity on decentralized exchanges, providing various avenues for acquisition.
