ApeX Protocol is a decentralized derivatives exchange that facilitates permissionless perpetual swaps for both cryptocurrency and tokenized real-world assets. It champions non-custodial trading, ensuring users retain full control over their private keys while engaging in leveraged trading activities. This approach enhances user autonomy and security by removing the need for third-party custodians, addressing key limitations found in traditional centralized platforms.

The APEX token, the native asset of ApeX Protocol, serves several critical functions. It acts as a governance token, empowering holders to propose and vote on key protocol decisions like upgrades, fee adjustments, and asset listings. Users can also stake APEX to earn rewards, contributing to passive income generation. Furthermore, APEX incorporates value accrual mechanisms, including deflationary strategies like token repurchases and burning to reduce circulating supply. Finally, it provides protocol incentivization, rewarding users through participation and liquidity mining programs.

esAPEX, or escrowed APEX, is a staking reward that users can claim and vest. It converts into regular APEX after a six-month vesting period and can also be staked to earn additional esAPEX. veAPEX, or vote-escrowed APEX, functions as a proof of staked APEX or esAPEX. Holders of veAPEX gain enhanced voting rights within the APEX governance framework and are eligible to receive a share of the platform's fee rewards, linking active participation to direct benefits.

Staking on ApeX Protocol allows users to commit APEX and/or esAPEX tokens to earn rewards, typically distributed in USDC. This mechanism provides a way to generate passive income by sharing in the protocol's revenues derived from trading fees. While the program generally offers flexibility with no mandatory lock-up periods, users can opt for fixed staking durations (e.g., 3, 6, 12, or 24 months) to potentially receive higher reward rates. Rewards are calculated weekly, factoring in the staked amount, chosen staking period, and overall trading activity on the platform.

ApeX Protocol is fundamentally built on Ethereum, leveraging zk-proof technology for multi-chain liquidity aggregation, enabling seamless cross-chain trading. Its architectural innovations include an Elastic Automated Market Maker (eAMM) and Protocol Controlled Value (PCV) mechanisms, designed to optimize liquidity management and efficiency. Additionally, ApeX Pro, a key product within the ecosystem, integrates StarkEx, a secure Layer 2 scaling engine, to significantly enhance both transaction security and scalability, ensuring a robust and high-performance trading environment.

APEX tokens can be acquired on various cryptocurrency exchanges, including both centralized and decentralized platforms. Typically, the process involves first purchasing a common base cryptocurrency such as USDT, BTC, ETH, or BNB using fiat currency. Following this, users can then exchange this base currency for APEX on their chosen exchange. This provides multiple avenues for users to obtain the native token of the ApeX Protocol ecosystem.
