KRWO is a stablecoin designed to maintain a 1:1 value ratio with the South Korean Won (KRW). It functions as a digital bridge between traditional South Korean financial systems and the decentralized finance (DeFi) ecosystem, providing a stable medium of exchange on the blockchain.
KRWO is used for various purposes within its native ecosystem, including staking to earn rewards and contribute to network stability. KRWO is 100% fiat-backed using the Open Voucher (OV) protocol. The system maintains a strict ratio where 10,000 KRW equals 1 OV Token, which in turn equals 10,000 KRWO. Because the tokens can always be redeemed for fiat KRW through the voucher service, market arbitrage effectively keeps the price pegged.
