King Kovu ($LAZY) is the official utility token for the Lazy Lions ecosystem. Positioned as more than a standard meme coin, it is designed to function within a self-reinforcing economy. The project integrates digital collectibles, decentralized finance elements, and real-world products to create a comprehensive ecosystem. It is steered by an AI-driven architect known as King Kovu, who oversees the strategic development and technical mechanisms of the community on its native blockchain.

The $LAZY token operates on the Base network, which is a high-performance Ethereum Layer 2 scaling solution. This network was selected to provide the community with efficient transaction speeds and reduced costs, ensuring a smooth experience for users interacting with the ecosystem's various decentralized applications and marketplace features.

The project utilizes a strategic fee structure to ensure the longevity of the ecosystem. Typically, a 3% fee is applied to sell transactions. From this, 2% is directed to the project's treasury, known as the 'Lazy Safe,' while 1% serves as a protocol fee. In contrast, buy transactions generally do not carry a tax, making it easier for new community members to acquire the token and participate in the ecosystem.

The Lazy Safe acts as a centralized vault or treasury funded by transaction fees. Its primary role is to support the ecosystem by acquiring Lazy Lions NFTs from the market once the treasury reaches the necessary balance.
