Initia is a modular blockchain platform designed to solve fragmentation and scalability issues in Web3. It combines a secure Layer 1 network with a flexible Layer 2 rollup framework. The INIT token serves multiple essential functions. It is used to pay transaction fees on both the L1 and its associated rollups. Users can stake INIT to help secure the network and participate in consensus, earning rewards. INIT holders also gain governance rights, allowing them to vote on protocol upgrades and reward distributions. The token incentivizes user and developer activity through reward programs. Additionally, INIT powers the Enshrined Liquidity (EL) system, providing native liquidity pools for every rollup launched on Initia, thereby boosting adoption and simplifying token launches.
