To maintain the integrity and security of its network, Hush utilizes a proof-of-work consensus mechanism using the Equihash algorithm. Additionally, the project employs a security layer called delayed proof-of-work. This mechanism periodically records snapshots of the Hush blockchain onto the Bitcoin network, providing robust protection against 51 percent attacks and ensuring long-term data immutability. The Hush ecosystem is supported by several dedicated applications, most notably the Silent Dragon suite of wallets. These tools offer users full-node, lite, and mobile options for managing their assets and private messages across different operating systems.
