There are two distinct versions: HOKK Classic (V1) and HOKK Finance (V2). HOKK Classic is the original decentralized token launched in April 2021 and is the focus of the 2025 revival movement. Its contract is renounced and liquidity is burned. While HOKK Finance attempted a migration for utility purposes, the current community consensus for the revival project is to support the original V1 token. Holders of the original HOKK do not need to migrate to V2 to remain part of the Classic ecosystem.

In 2021, the project creators sent 50% of the total supply to Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin as a symbolic burn gesture. Unlike other instances where tokens were donated to charity, Buterin sold his HOKK holdings. While this caused a significant price impact at the time, the community has repurposed this event as a symbol of resilience. The current revival movement views the project’s ability to survive such a major event as a core strength and a badge of honor.

HOKK was an early pioneer of Automated Rewards Farming (ARF). This mechanism applies a small tax to every buy and sell transaction, which is then redistributed instantly to all existing holders. This means your token balance increases in real-time simply by holding HOKK in a compatible wallet. There is no need for manual staking or claiming processes, as the protocol automatically handles the distribution based on the percentage of the total supply you own.

Yes, HOKK features deflationary mechanics. A portion of the total supply is held in a 'dead' or burned wallet that no one can access. Because this dead wallet is technically a holder, it also receives a portion of the reflection rewards from every transaction. This process effectively removes those tokens from the circulating supply forever, gradually reducing the total number of tokens available in the market as trading activity continues over time.

Following a period of inactivity, HOKK saw a resurgence in 2025 as a Community Takeover (CTO) project. The revival is led by a group that includes original administrative team members. The 2025 roadmap focuses on new DeFi integrations, such as staking and yield farming opportunities referred to as 'TREATS.' Additionally, the project has expanded its reach by launching on the Base network alongside its original Ethereum home to offer users more choices and lower transaction costs.

HOKK is primarily traded on decentralized exchanges like Uniswap. It is available on both the Ethereum and Base networks, with Base often used for its lower gas fees. For security, the original V1 contract is fully renounced, meaning the code cannot be changed and no new tokens can be minted by developers.
