Gunstar Metaverse is a massively multiplayer online role playing game and turn based strategy NFT project built on the BNB Chain. The project is inspired by classic ballistics simulation games like Worms and Gunbound, combining tactical gameplay with blockchain technology to create a digital ecosystem where players can own and trade assets. The core gameplay centers on 2D turn based artillery combat. Players use companion creatures known as pets to engage in battles against either AI controlled monsters or other human players. Success in the game depends on calculating trajectory and power while accounting for environmental factors such as wind, storms, and varying terrain conditions. Each pet features unique skills, including normal and ultimate abilities, and they are categorized by various rarity levels such as trial, normal, rare, elite, legendary, and mythic. The project operates with a dual token system. The primary utility and governance token is GSTS. This token is used for high level ecosystem activities including staking, participating in governance decisions, and trading NFT assets like pets and virtual houses within the marketplace. It also allows players to borrow pets for use in battles. The second token is an in-game currency used for daily operations such as leveling up pets, merging pet fragments to create new NFTs, and purchasing support items through features like the fortune wheel. Players can participate in several game modes. The single player campaign mode allows users to explore the world and earn experience, while the Raid Boss mode offers opportunities for solo or cooperative play to acquire rare pet fragments. For competitive players, the PvP Arena and ranking systems provide a platform to test skills against others and climb leaderboards. The project also includes a free to play entry point where new users receive a non NFT trial pet to experience the game mechanics before committing to the blockchain economy. Founded by Hoang Hiep and developed by a team at Gunstar Labs, the project aims to bridge the gap between traditional gaming and the Web3 space. Its virtual world, known as Fantasy StarWorld, serves as the setting for these adventures, where players can also engage with real estate elements by buying, selling, or renting digital housing to store assets and produce support items.
