Guarded Ether (gETH) is an ERC-20 token issued by LBank. It is designed for users who stake their Ethereum (ETH) in LBank's ETH staking pool. Users receive gETH in a 1:1 ratio for their staked ETH and any accumulated staking rewards. This token represents your staked ETH and the earnings from the staking process, making staked assets more manageable.

When users stake their ETH with LBank, they receive gETH tokens as a representation of their staked assets. This system was developed to mitigate the illiquidity challenge of staked ETH, which remains locked on the Ethereum network until the full implementation of its upgrades, including withdrawals. gETH acts as a liquid derivative of your locked ETH, providing flexibility while your original assets are secured on the network.

gETH was created to offer users a flexible asset while their staked Ethereum and associated rewards are temporarily locked within the Ethereum network.
