Grass is a decentralized data network that empowers individuals to monetize their unused internet bandwidth. This shared bandwidth is then utilized by verified institutions, primarily for AI development, to access public web data. It addresses the need for diverse and high-quality data sources for AI training while providing users with rewards for their contribution.

Users participate by downloading the Grass application or browser extension and creating an account. By simply keeping the application running, they automatically contribute a small, permissioned portion of their internet connection. In return for this contribution, users earn Grass Points, which track their activity and accumulate rewards.

Grass Points are a measure of a user's contributions to the network, tracking the amount of unused internet bandwidth they share. These accumulated points are designed to be converted into GRASS Tokens at a later stage. GRASS Tokens represent the actual rewards for participants and signify a share in the network's underlying infrastructure.

Grass explicitly states that users' personal data is not accessible to the network itself or to any third parties utilizing the bandwidth. To safeguard privacy and ensure data safety, the project employs advanced measures such as the Grass Data Ledger and Zero-knowledge (ZK) processors. This architecture is designed to protect user information while enabling bandwidth sharing.

GRASS tokens serve multiple key functions within the ecosystem. They can be traded on crypto exchanges like LBank. Within the Grass Network, tokens can be utilized to cover transaction fees. Furthermore, they offer potential for staking, allowing holders to participate in network governance. Ultimately, GRASS tokens also incentivize contributions to AI development by facilitating the creation of structured datasets.

The GRASS token has a fixed total supply of 1,000,000,000 tokens. The allocation strategy is designed to support various aspects of the project. A significant portion, 30%, is designated for the community, which includes provisions for airdrops and router rewards to incentivize participation. Another 22.8% is allocated to the Foundation and Ecosystem Growth, aiming to foster the overall development and expansion of the Grass network.
