The Gala team quickly utilized the blocklist feature within the GALA v2 contract to freeze the majority of these tokens before they could be liquidated. Most of the unauthorized tokens were eventually returned or burned. Crucially, this incident was resolved without the need for a second token swap, maintaining the integrity of the existing v2 ecosystem.
GALA v1 is officially deprecated and holds zero utility or value within the current ecosystem. The migration from v1 to v2 was completed in May 2023.
