FUNGI is a cryptocurrency that uniquely combines blockchain technology with digital art using the ERC-20i token standard. Each token functions as a "seed," generating dynamic 24x24 pixel images of fungi, which evolve visually based on the holder's token balance. The project ensures immutability by storing all art, smart contracts, and front-end application source codes on decentralized IPFS storage. This integration makes FUNGI both a digital asset and a dynamic, collectible art piece, fully leveraging on-chain inscription metadata.

FUNGI is built on the robust Ethereum blockchain and utilizes the cutting-edge ERC-20i standard. This standard is an extension of the widely adopted ERC-20 token standard, specifically designed to embed fully on-chain art. By incorporating inscription metadata directly into the token, all art-related data is stored immutably on the blockchain. This ensures that the digital art generated by FUNGI tokens is permanent, transparent, and cannot be altered, providing a secure and verifiable foundation for its unique artistic expression.

FUNGI tokens serve multiple key purposes. Primarily, they offer unique digital art ownership, as each token dynamically generates evolving fungi images that are collectible. Tokens can be actively traded on various decentralized exchanges, facilitating liquidity. An application, Fungi App V1, providing expert insights and enabling on-chain transactions, is slated for February 2025. Additionally, Fungi Studio V1, an Agent Development Environment for designing AI agents with DeFi functionalities, is planned for March 2025. The project also frequently conducts airdrops and reward programs for community engagement.
