Evrmore is a Proof-of-Work (PoW) blockchain launched in late 2022 that serves as a specialized platform for decentralized finance (DeFi) and asset management. Often referred to as the "iOS of blockchains," it provides a user-friendly environment for creating and trading digital assets. Unlike general-purpose blockchains that rely on complex smart contracts, Evrmore focuses on security and simplicity by integrating financial logic directly into the protocol.

Evrmore is a fork of Ravencoin, often described by its community as a "code cousin." While Ravencoin is designed for the straightforward issuance and transfer of assets, Evrmore expands on this foundation by focusing on DeFi primitives. It incorporates built-in features such as atomic swaps and automated financial logic that are not present in Ravencoin’s current roadmap, allowing for more advanced decentralized financial operations.

The project launched via a "forkdrop" on October 31, 2022, based on a snapshot of the Ravencoin blockchain. Eligible addresses were able to claim EVR at a 1:1 ratio. However, there was a strict 60-day claim window intended to prevent idle supply from diluting the ecosystem. Any airdropped EVR that was not moved or claimed within that period was effectively burned, meaning the window to claim these tokens has now closed.

Evrmore utilizes EvrProgPow, a variant of the ProgPow algorithm that is ASIC-resistant and optimized for GPU mining. With a 3GB DAG size, it remains accessible for older graphics cards. Distinct from some other PoW projects, Evrmore allocates 10% of every block reward to a Miner Development Fund managed by the Evrmore Foundation. This fund is used to pay developers to build out and maintain the DeFi ecosystem.

The project avoids general-purpose smart contracts because they are often vulnerable to bugs and security exploits. Instead, Evrmore employs "Asset Primitives," which are native code functions built into the protocol level. These handle complex tasks like escrow and partial order fulfillment. By using these built-in functions rather than external scripts, Evrmore aims to provide a more secure and reliable environment for financial transactions and asset management.

EVR can be traded on exchanges like LBank. For storage and management, users typically use the Evrmore Core full node wallet. For those seeking mobile or lightweight options, the community recommends the Moontree wallet, which supports both Ravencoin and Evrmore, or the Electrum-evrmore wallet. Users are advised to follow standard security protocols when managing their private keys to ensure their assets remain protected.
