The Coinshift USDL Morpho Vault, identified by the token symbol csusdl, is a decentralized finance project designed to provide users with a yield-bearing version of the Lift Dollar stablecoin. It was developed through a collaboration between Coinshift, Paxos International, Morpho, and Steakhouse Financial. The project functions as a specialized vault that accepts deposits of USDL, a stablecoin issued by Paxos International that is backed by real-world assets like United States Treasury bills and cash equivalents. When users deposit their funds into the vault, they receive csusdl tokens. These tokens represent a proportional share of the vault's assets and are built using the ERC-4626 standard, which is a technical framework for yield-bearing vaults in the Ethereum ecosystem. The core objective of the project is to generate returns from two distinct sources. First, the underlying USDL stablecoin naturally accrues yield from the interest earned on its Treasury bill reserves. Second, the vault automatically deploys these assets into the Morpho protocol, which is a peer-to-peer lending platform. This allows the deposited funds to earn additional interest from on-chain borrowers who provide over-collateralized crypto assets as security. Steakhouse Financial acts as the curator for the vault, managing the risk parameters and selecting the collateral types allowed for borrowers to ensure the safety of the deposited funds. Regarding its current status, the project entered a wind-down phase in late 2025. Paxos International announced the discontinuation of the USDL stablecoin to prioritize other initiatives. As a result, the Coinshift USDL Morpho Vault was officially deprecated. Holders were advised to withdraw their funds or convert their holdings into other assets before late 2025. Any remaining balances after the deadline were scheduled for conversion into a different stablecoin issued by the same provider. In summary, the Coinshift USDL Morpho Vault was an institutional-grade treasury management tool that combined traditional real-world asset yields with decentralized lending.
