CheckStrategy is an automated on-chain system developed by TokenWorks that functions as a "Perpetual NFT Machine." The protocol collects fees from CHKSTR token swaps until a specific threshold is reached. Once triggered, the machine automatically purchases the lowest-priced NFT from the Checks - VV Originals collection on major NFT marketplaces and relists it at a 20% premium. This creates a continuous cycle of automated trading managed entirely by the smart contract.

The deflationary aspect of the protocol is driven by its trading success. When an NFT held by the machine is sold at its 20% premium, the resulting profits are used to purchase CHKSTR tokens back from the market. These tokens are then permanently "burned," removing them from the circulating supply. This mechanism ensures that successful NFT trades directly contribute to reducing the total number of tokens in existence.

The protocol requires an external actor to initiate its buy and sell functions once the necessary thresholds are met. To incentivize this, the first entity to successfully trigger these functions receives a reward, typically consisting of a small portion of the accumulated assets. This ensures the "machine" remains active and decentralized, as community members are motivated to monitor the system and execute the necessary transactions.

The official CheckStrategy project is hosted on the Ethereum network. Users should be cautious of similarly named tokens on other blockchains like Solana, which do not feature the same NFT-machine utility. PNKSTR (PunkStrategy) was the first version of this protocol, focusing on the CryptoPunks collection. CheckStrategy is a subsequent project that specifically targets the Checks - VV Originals collection by Jack Butcher. While the machine currently focuses on this specific collection, it represents a specialized branch of the TokenWorks ecosystem, utilizing the same automated strategy to provide liquidity and utility within the NFT market.

Traders should note that the project uses a fee-on-transfer mechanism to fund NFT purchases, which may require setting slippage higher (often 5-10%) during swaps. While some automated security scanners may flag the contract due to its unique liquidity and permission structures, these are functional parts of the "machine."
