The CLR token offers several key utilities within the InterCellar platform. It can be used for arbitrage trading and participating in Earn products to potentially generate yield. Additionally, CLR facilitates payments for various services. Holding or staking CLR tokens unlocks exclusive benefits, such as discounts on platform fees, early access to special "Drop Event Bottles," and premium features like an AI Sommelier and invitations to exclusive events. These functionalities are designed to expand as the project evolves.

InterCellar ensures authenticity by onboarding wineries and spirit brands to directly mint and sell their products on the platform. The physical bottles are either stored at the brand's own warehouse or securely transferred to InterCellar's dedicated facilities. These facilities provide insured, temperature-controlled storage environments. For security upon redemption, a unique code on the physical bottle can be cross-referenced with its corresponding digital NFT code, offering a verifiable link between the RWA and the tangible asset.

InterCellar accommodates both traditional fiat currencies and cryptocurrencies for transactions. Users can make payments using traditional currencies like Euros via credit card. For crypto users, popular digital assets such as USDC on the Polygon chain are accepted for both initial drops (sales) and secondary market transactions. This dual payment system aims to provide flexibility and accessibility for a broad range of collectors and investors.

If you own a tokenized bottle on InterCellar, you can initiate a redemption at any time by completing a redemption form. This action converts your digital token back into the claim for the physical bottle. Once redeemed, the visual representation of your NFT will update to signify that it is no longer backed by a physical asset. The individual redeeming the bottle is responsible for all associated costs, including shipping, customs duties, and any applicable storage fees.

Yes, several fees are associated with using InterCellar. Users may incur gas fees, which are inherent to blockchain transactions and not controlled by InterCellar. Additionally, the issuing wine or spirit brand may levy royalties on secondary market sales. Storage fees currently stand at €0.2 per bottle per month, although InterCellar offers a complimentary year of storage from the official launch date for CLR token holders, providing an incentive for engagement.
