Bao Finance underwent a major structural overhaul in late 2022, migrating from V1 to a new V2 contract. This migration involved a token redenomination at a 1,000:1 ratio, meaning every 1,000 old BAO tokens are swappable for 1 new BAO token. While your total token count will decrease, your relative ownership of the network remains the same. To migrate, you must use the official Bao Finance dApp to swap your V1 tokens for V2. The migration contract is designed to stay open for long-term holders to ensure no one is left behind.
