USDaf features a unique model where borrowers can set their own interest rates rather than relying on algorithmic or DAO-driven rates. While this offers flexibility, users must strategically balance their rate. Setting a rate that is too low relative to the market increases 'redemption risk,' where other participants may pay off the user's debt to claim the underlying collateral.
Stability is maintained through over-collateralization and a redemption mechanism.
