apM Coin is a blockchain-powered loyalty and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) platform specifically designed for the South Korean wholesale fashion market. Developed in partnership with apM Group—operators of the apM, apM PLACE, and apM Luxe malls in Seoul’s Dongdaemun district—the project digitizes the reward systems for over 1,300 brands and 10,000 daily buyers. By moving away from traditional paper-based tracking, the platform enables transparent transactions and provides wholesalers with data-driven marketing tools to better understand their customers.

The ecosystem utilizes a dual-token model to balance market accessibility with transaction stability. apM Coin (APM) is the primary token available on exchanges like LBank. To protect users from price volatility during business transactions, the platform uses apM Cash, a stable community token pegged 1:1 to the Korean Won (KRW). Users can convert APM into apM Cash within the apM Members app to purchase digital vouchers or services, ensuring a seamless and predictable experience for both wholesalers and buyers.

Following a successful governance vote in April 2025, the project is rebranding its token to "VIP." Along with the new identity, the project is migrating from the Ethereum network to the BNB Chain (BEP-20). This transition is a strategic move to improve the platform's scalability and user experience by providing significantly faster transaction speeds and much lower gas fees compared to the original ERC-20 framework.

Staking tokens unlocks various tiers of benefits within the apM Members app. For buyers, these perks include exclusive discounts, priority access to VIP shuttle buses, and free vouchers for on-site cafes at apM malls. For wholesalers, the token provides access to a decentralized CRM tool. This allow brands to analyze buyer purchasing trends and data that were previously unavailable in the traditional offline market, helping them optimize their business strategies.

The project is led by experts with deep ties to both business strategy and the Korean fashion industry. CEO Richard Kwang Il Seok, formerly a strategist at Deloitte, leads the digital transformation efforts. CMO JungHyun Kim brings over 20 years of experience in the Dongdaemun fashion market. Additionally, Bina Cho, the VP of Marketing Strategy, frequently represents the project in community AMAs and handles global marketing content to expand the project's international reach.

The key differentiator is the project's massive "built-in user base." While most Web3 projects must build an audience from scratch, apM Coin launched with an established ecosystem consisting of 1,300+ brands and an annual turnover of over $1 billion within its partner malls. The project's primary mission is not to find new users, but to successfully onboard an existing, high-volume community of offline fashion professionals onto the blockchain to enhance their daily operations.
