Amnis Finance is a premier liquid staking derivative (LSD) protocol built on the Aptos blockchain. It allows users to stake their APT tokens in exchange for liquid tokens, effectively solving the issue of locked liquidity found in traditional staking. By using Amnis, participants can earn network staking rewards while simultaneously maintaining the flexibility to use their liquid assets in other DeFi applications across the ecosystem.

Amnis Finance utilizes two distinct liquid tokens: amAPT and stAPT. amAPT (Amnis Aptos) is a 1:1 liquid representation of staked APT that does not increase in value on its own but is ideal for liquidity pools. stAPT (Staked Aptos) is a yield-bearing token that represents both the staked principal and accumulated rewards; consequently, its value increases relative to APT over time as staking rewards accrue.

Amnis Finance stands out by offering a 0% protocol fee, allowing users to keep the full share of their staking rewards. It also introduces "Yield Tokenization," a sophisticated feature that splits assets into principal and yield components for advanced strategies. Unlike many traditional staking options that require a minimum of 11 APT, Amnis is highly accessible with a minimum staking requirement of only 0.01 APT.

The AMI token serves as the backbone of the Amnis DAO, providing governance power to holders who can vote on protocol fees, incentive structures, and future partnerships. Additionally, AMI is utilized as an incentive for liquidity providers and active ecosystem participants. It is designed to facilitate decentralized decision-making and reward those who contribute to the protocol's long-term growth and stability.

Users can qualify for token distributions by actively engaging with the protocol. Common methods include minting amAPT, providing liquidity to supported pools, or participating in "Road to TGE" community campaigns. Points are often tracked via internal leaderboards to reward early adopters. The protocol has allocated a significant portion of its 1 billion total supply to community rewards and early participants to ensure broad distribution.

Users have two main paths to exit their positions. They can opt for the standard unstaking process, which adheres to the 14-day Aptos network withdrawal period. Alternatively, for those requiring immediate access to their funds, liquid tokens like amAPT or stAPT can be swapped instantly for APT on various decentralized exchanges or major trading platforms where the tokens are supported.
